Publishing is at the heart of scientific research. Being able to publish in high impact journals increase the profile of the researcher by increasing the number of citations and H-index. The aim of this session is to highlight the importance of publishing journal papers as research outputs and to know the essentials of publishing papers in indexed national and international journals.
Topics to be discussed include:
- Types of papers to be published. Journal choice: Peer review. Indexed, Impact factor, Beall’s list, CITESCORE.
- Techniques of writing full papers with sections such as Abstract, Introduction, Materials & Methods, Results, Discussion and References.
- Publication ethics. Paper submission procedures and responding to reviewers.
This program is for UPM Academician and Research Officers who would like to learn best practices, tricks and tips for getting published in high impact journals.
