On September 22, 1963, Pn. Zaihan Yazid was born in Kg. Pulau, Labu, Negeri Sembilan. She is the eldest of 7 siblings. She received early education at SK Labu Hilir in 1970 and continued her secondary level at SM Dato Mohd Said.
At age 23, Pn Zaihan married her spouse, Mr. Zainal bin Mohamad, and was blessed with 3 daughters and 4 sons. She started working at UPM on 19 October 1981 at Salary Division, Treasurer's Office, as a Typist. Then, in 1998, she was promoted to Administrative Assistant at the Student Scholarship Division, also in the same office.
In 2002, she was transferred to the Research Management Center (RMC) until now where she was assigned as a secretary to the Deputy Director of the Research Grant Division. Pn. Zaihan has been in UPM for 37 years. During his tenure at UPM, she had received the Excellent Workers Award (APC) twice, in 2010 and 2015.
Pn. Zaihan is very responsible for her tasks. She is also loved by the RMC's staff for her cheerfulness and friendly attitude. Indeed, she has been devoted to her job during all her years in UPM. From RMC, we would like to thank Pn. Zaihan Yazid for her devotion and best of luck for her upcoming retirement on October 18, 2018. Hopefully, memories at the RMC will not be forgotten and will be a memorable one for her. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
